UW Mens Basketball Loses another at Iowa

On February 22, 2025, the Washington Huskies men's basketball team fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes 85-79 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. The Huskies started strong, leading by as many as 12 points in the first half and holding a 34-33 advantage at halftime. However, Iowa's second-half surge, led by Payton Sandfort's 27 points and nine rebounds, proved decisive. Despite notable performances from Washington's Mekhi Mason, who scored 19 points, and DJ Davis, who added 17 points, the Huskies were unable to maintain their lead. The loss dropped Washington to 13-14 overall and 4-12 in Big Ten Conference play.
